MADAWASKA UNITED SOCCER LEAGUE
We are a 7v7 Co-Ed Summer League from May 15 to the end of August and a 5v5 Futsal Winter League from September to April. Join us!
Summer registration for players 18+ is $80. New youth 13-17 are $70 but must tryout May 15th and be chosen by a team captain.
Visiting players are welcome for a $10 fee per game. All monies go towards the purchase of equipment, operational expenses, insurance, and the securing of facilities.

Registration is open for our Thursday games from 6:30-8:00pm at Palmer Rapids School, from May 15th to August 28th. Cost is $80 per person (18+) and $50 (13-17) before May 15th and $90/$70 after.

2025 Outdoor Pickup Games
Please note that due to additional delays in securing a proper sport field and shortfall in registered players, we are playing pickup soccer, open to all 13+ players, registered or not, at the Combermere Community Center field from 6:30pm to 8:00pm every Thursday, rain or shine.

Become A League Sponsor
We are currently looking for sponsors in exchange for online advertising (here) and event banner advertising during our games. As we have had to schedule two separate days for all the teams to play this season we need to purchase 2 more Futsal goals so that each team captain can have their own goal net.
Our aim is to generate $800 for this cause to help keep our community league going. A season "banner ad + link" sponsorship is $200 from May to August and can be renewed again, at a 10% discount, for September to April.
A "flag sponsorship" with the above plus a custom event flag (which we can design+order for you and which will be displayed at each game and you can use elsewhere) is $500. Examples below.

We had a great indoor season with Black Team taking the top spot again, second year in a row. Congratulations! A special mention goes to our MVP David Avila and our Golden Gloves James Perron. We wish them the best in their future endeavors as they both leave the area having completed their college studies.
Futsal Tournament
Saturday March 15th we held a very competitive tournament with Bancroft, MU Red Team and MU Gold Team. Anthony Hamon's Red Team took the top honours. Well played!

Our History
After a winning season in the Bancroft League we decided there was enough momentum after 4 years travelling to Bancroft and Pembroke to create our own Barry's Bay Soccer League and cultivate further our local talent and our spirit of community and healthy athleticism.
So for our fourth year running we are holding our own 7v7 soccer league from spring to autumn and a 5V5 in winter with 4 to 6 teams, open to everyone of 13+. We invite you to be a part of this great expression of the valley's spirit.

Registration And Payments
Payments can be made by e-transfer to the league treasurer
Registration is NOW OPEN for outdoor 7v7 soccer on Thursdays from May 15th, 2025 to August 28th, 2025. Join us!
Note:
Proper footwear (cleats) and shin pads are required. As per FIFA guidelines, a player may not wear jewelry, nor hats, although we make exceptions in our league for rings and wedding bands.
Tri-County League
- 4 games will be played (all in Bancroft, as it appears the highschool field will not be available in Barry's Bay); 6:30 PM on Sunday's June 22nd, July 6th, July 20th, and August 10th. Some rides will be available for those who cannot drive themselves.
- Games will be 11 v 11, full field and full FIFA rules. These games will be officiated by hired referees.
- All players must be 16+ (turning 16 any time in 2025 is acceptable)
- Our roster has a maximum of 26 places. If we have more than 26 players interested, we will hold a try-out session to narrow down our numbers.
- Cost per player is yet to be finalized but expected to be ~$60/player, to accommodate field rentals, jerseys and referee fees.
